We are super proud to share with you all that FinS successfully established on July 11, 2019, Japan’s very first LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, Pride Business Association Japan (PBAJ). This event is a fundraiser for PBAJ.
We’ve been working hard over the past five years to become one of the most recognized and strongest LGBT brands in Tokyo. The organization has long supported numerous other nonprofits organizations and projects because of its passionate membership community. We thank you all very much. Now, we shall be putting our main focus on the chamber and supporting LGBTQ+ enterpreneurs.

PBAJ's mission is to:
1) Consolidate and strengthen the business voice of the LGBT business owners community and become a visible and concrete support hub
2) Be the largest advocacy organization dedicated to expanding economic opportunities and advancements for the LGBT community
3) Be the exclusive certifying body for LGBT-owned businesses.
4) Be the primary conduit for corporations to access diverse, high-quality, and competitive services in their supply chain

We look forward to welcoming you all!

EVENT GENERAL OVERVIEW
With the support of the Embassy of Mexico in Japan, Fruits in Suits (FinS) will hold its 5th Anniversary LGBT Community Event on Monday, November 18, from 18:00 p.m., at the Mexican embassy.

Inform, Unite, Change. Come join us for an exciting celebration of the connections and stories of courage and authenticity from the role models and leaders who form the rainbow backbone of our LGBT+ communities. The evening’s keynote speech and panel event will center around the various issues which affect the LGBTQ+ community in Japan and address the critical issues we face at this juncture, this “turning point” in Japan’s LGBT history.

Connecting our young people. FinS firmly believes that young people are not only our future, but need to have access and exchange with the members of the LGBTQ+ community that have preceded them. To this end, we always strive to make available a good number of tickets for students and young people at greatly reduced prices. Please sponsor a young person to come and/or tell them about this event. Inspire and empower them well, and let them lead the way.

Recognizing our Change Agents. As is the case every year, we will also award the Japan Pride Award. This year’s recipients are visible people who are making significant strides for the advancement of LGBT+ community. We will recognize these agents of change and hear from them why they do what they do and how they got there.

Celebration & Camaraderie. The evening’s event will conclude with a dinner for organizers, panelists, moderator, and partners at the residence of the ambassador to continue the conversation and connections we make to take us to the next year and beyond.

While some progress has been made this past year on LGBT+ rights, there is still much more to be done. This is why we need your help and support. Come be inspired, and help us celebrate.
